The most recent Pima Cup event was held at the Forty Niner Country Club on December 3. The team representing The Heritage Highlands Country Club was our opponent on this day. Let me assure you that once again they put together a strong team. However, let me also assure you that our team was equally strong and was able to hang on for a one-point victory (27 ½ to 26 ½). Roger Gann, Mick Borm, Bruce Keefer, Ron Victor, John Bidegain and Steve Searl made up our three teams and shared equally in ownership of this victory. This win places us third overall and well within reach of the top spot. Congratulations, gentlemen, for a job well done!
The next Pima Cup matches are just around the corner. The first will be played at the Heritage Highlands course on January 14 followed by a match that we will be hosting at the Preserve Golf Club on February 11. The season finale will be on March 5 at the Views Golf Club. Let’s hope Ron Victor, our Pima Cup Coordinator, can arrange a few more victories.
