MountainView/Preserve Lady Niners invited someone other than their spouse or partners to this fun tournament on April 21. According to Co-chair Shirley Miller, “Not every tournament needs to be competitive” and competition did not show up at this event!
Each of the nine holes played had a fun twist to the game. Putting on one foot, trying to chip into the hula hoop that surrounded the flag and wearing big black gloves to hit your drive are just a few of the examples the games committee came up with.
Awards were also uniquely dispensed. Both those golfers with low scores and also high scores were chosen from a group of players who met certain criteria. For those traditionalists, Closest to the Pin was also awarded in both male and female categories. It was an all-inclusive list with all levels of winners and everyone had fun!
Special thanks go out to Raye Cobb and Pat Mersy for a very creative pairings and winners list!
