Bachata is a style of dance and music that originated from the Dominican Republic. In addition to being known for its romantic melodies, guitar-based rhythms, and sensual dance moves, bachata has gained popularity over the years because it’s pretty easy to learn. Join your fellow SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club (SBDC) members this July in learning bachata with instructors Harry and Dottie Adams. Classes begin Sunday, July 7, and are held every Sunday at 3 p.m. and Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the MountainView ballroom. Show off all your dance moves at our dinner dance on July 19. Check the website sbballroomdance.com for up-to-date information and to register.

You do not have to be a member of SBDC. Tango and hustle will be taught on July 10, and waltz and merengue on July 17. These classes are held at 4 p.m. in the Mariposa Room in the DesertView facility. Can’t wait to show off what you’ve learned and have fun with your fellow dancers?
