Denis Greenwood and Barbara Barr Bengen
Join your neighbors and friends at 6:30 p.m. at the Activity Center on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) for a fascinating program on shamanic journeying. SaddleBrooke’s Denis Greenwood will be sharing his introduction to and experiences with shamanism. Members of Metaphysical Explorations are welcome to bring their drums and join in on the demonstration.
Years ago Denis was having difficulty meditating and was open to finding an alternative. At that time, a friend invited Denis to a shamanic workshop. He found that shamanic journeying came naturally, and it was easier than meditation. After that, he participated in a local circle and learned the many practices of shamanism.
Denis found that shamanism provided inspiration, healing, insights, and a way to attune with nature and the spirit world. He began a local circle, which now meets at his house once or twice a month. Denis’ presentation will give you a brief introduction to shamanism from his experience. He will explain and demonstrate what takes place at a typical meeting. Then members and guests will participate in a journey of their own.
Save the date of Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke One Activity Center. The building is located at 64518 E. Galveston Lane. Parking is limited, and you are encouraged to park at the bocce ball court by the SaddleBrooke One Craft Center and take the convenient ramp down to the Activity Center.
