Each year on Dec. 31, many of us sit down, pen and paper in hand, to write down our New Year’s resolutions. More often than not, they include something related to living a healthy lifestyle, maybe it is a weight loss goal, or a goal to be more active, or a goal to manage rest and stress. And more often than not, if we were to check how you were doing with these goals, they have been forgotten. Of the people who make New Year’s resolutions, 80% fail to keep them past January. Just 8% keep them through the entire year.
It’s time to work on year-round goals that work for you. We need to set specific goals. Over the next few months, we will talk about eating correctly, exercise, resting, and managing stress, and reducing toxic load all with the help of essential oils.
Let’s kick off our goal makeover by placing one drop of wild orange, peppermint, and frankincense in your hand. Rub your hands together and inhale deeply for an energizing aroma. Now select one of your vague goals and give it specific, measurable subgoals. For example, if eating correctly is one of your goals, your more specific subgoals might be to add supplements into your daily routine. Today’s products don’t always provide you with the nutrients you need to stay healthy. You might also add a subgoal of eating one cup of veggies a day for three months. A third subgoal could be to improve your water intake. Try to drink 45 ounces of water before lunch each day. Add a drop of lemon oil to your water. It helps to detoxify your system.
