Dust off your instrument and warm up your voice. Every Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., a vibrant mix of musicians and singers gathers in the MountainView West Ballroom to jam, connect, and celebrate the joy of live music. We call ourselves the Jammers, and we’d love for you to stop by and experience the fun!
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, you’ll find a welcoming space to sing, play, or do both. Our repertoire spans country, blues, rock, R&B, soul, gospel, and even the occasional classic hit or romantic ballad. With over 400 songs in our online catalog—each available in your preferred key—you’re sure to find something you love. And if you have a favorite tune that’s not on the list, suggest it! We’ll give it a go.
Bring your guitar, keyboard, violin, accordion, cello, saxophone, harmonica, horn, or xylophone, and if you have it, drag along your mic and amplification. If you sing, we’d love to hear you. Set up and take your turn choosing a song, and soon you will hear the group playing along. We might repeat it or move on to the next tune. It’s relaxed, spontaneous, and always a good time.
The Jammers began over a decade ago when Bert Van Wagoner’s wife gifted him a guitar. Bert figured the best way to learn was to start a jam group, and that’s exactly what he did. Today, the tradition continues with a growing community of passionate music-makers.
Come say hello to Bert and the Jammers. Everyone is welcome!
