It has been a long hot summer but the Knit Wits are keeping cool and busy. There have been several classes and members have been lapping up the lessons. There was learning I-cord technique, buttonholes and seaming. Many members created baby sweaters, either for someone they know or for donation to one of our various charities.
Next up is a class on gauge. This is so important; helps socks to fit your feet and not “Bigfoot,” helps a sweater fit you, not your 6’8” tall football player nephew. Our co-president Barb will take on this challenge to help everyone know how to make items that fit.
The group is preparing for a busy fourth quarter of the year. There are lunches and parties and “show and tells”; you do not want to miss a thing. We meet each Wednesday at SaddleBrooke One Arts and Crafts Center, Room 4, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Come find us and let us see what’s on your needles.
