So maybe this month I should be calling this Crochet Club News?! We have several members who are experts at crochet and recently we set aside some space for ladies who wanted to learn the art of crochet. We offered a simple crochet scarf or lap robe pattern that were designated as charity projects for the Veterans’ Administration. Thanks to Lorna, Georgiann and Bette, we have many new people with advanced skills in crochet! Several other members also stepped in to assist and we thank them for their help.
Recently, several members attended the SB Pet Rescue Fashion Show Luncheon to show our support. Many of us knitters are pet owners and lovers, so it is an event we attend annually. It is also an opportunity to support another charity group in SaddleBrooke and socialize with our fellow knitters.
June is also Knit in Public month and several ladies gathered at La Encantada to share the love of fiber art. It also offers a great opportunity to eat at one of those great restaurants.
All summer long you can find the Knit Wits meeting at SaddleBrooke One Arts and Crafts Center in Room 4, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Stop by and keep cool with us, we welcome everyone and there are lots of good seats available.
