All enjoyed our Mother’s Day Dinner. Luckily the air conditioner in the Mesquite Grill was broken and the dinner was moved outside where we all delighted in the view and the deer who decided to drop in! The delicious buffet represented some of the best food to be had at any of our dinners. All of the mothers received roses.

Members of the Co-Ed Book Club are asked to send in their nominations for books for next season to Sandy Epstein at [email protected]. Please include a short blurb about your nominated book as an enticement to get others interested in voting for it (and not make Sandy do it please). The book club reads both non-fiction and fiction with the only requirement being a subject of Jewish interest or written by an Israeli or Jewish writer. The club enjoys discussing books dealing with contemporary Jewish thought and we welcome new members. Please get all nominations in during the coming month so we all have time to consider the nominations in depth.
Would you like to be more involved in the JFG? We are looking for volunteers to be on the Potluck Committee headed by Faith Fromson. The JFG holds two potlucks a year, in fall and early winter; we are looking for people to help out on the day for set up/tear down. It is not very time consuming and you would be working with your friends. If you are a snowbird, feel free to serve for the winter potluck. The biggest plus is that the volunteers get to access the buffet first! Now that is a real perk. To be a volunteer, please contact Faith Fromson at 818-1154 or [email protected].
We count on your support and encourage you to join our regular activities which are solely intended to encourage and enable the extension of Jewish friendships throughout SaddleBrooke. Please make your suggestions known to Steve or Sy.
For further information about the JFG, please contact Co-Presidents Steve Grabell at [email protected] (520-825-4159) or Sy Efron at [email protected] (520-825-7047).
