Here we are in August! I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer. We spent some time visiting our beautiful national parks. I hear travel stories about different parts of the world or how much fun it was to visit friends and family. But it’s always nice to come back to this wonderful place we call home and catch up with friends right here.
That is exactly what happened at the July Cocktail Hour at The Preserve. Even on one of the hottest days, we had a strong turnout. Thank you, all, for making this a fun evening packed with lively conversations.
Our next get-together is on Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. at the MountainView Bar (which might have happened by the time you read this). I don’t have to be a fortune teller to know it will be a wonderful evening of friendship, conversation, and a drink or two. Now you have to read the September issue to find out what you missed if you stayed home. Thank you, Bruce Sabulsky, for arranging these evenings.
The Sept. 17 Ice Cream Social/Bingo evening is almost here. RSVP by Sept. 10 for this $10-a-person event, which is being held at the SaddleBrooke One Activity Center. We are planning an evening of all-you-can-eat ice cream and toppings. In case you were unaware, there are no calories involved when eating copious amounts of ice cream and toppings while supporting the JFG. I know, it’s a miracle. We are also playing three games of Bingo with a $20 prize. Watch for future articles and emails for exact time.
The annual Fall Potluck will be on Nov. 5 at the SaddleBrooke One Activity Center. We’re planning a “breakfast for dinner” menu. The possibilities are as endless as the creativity and talents of our member chefs. Many, many reminders with additional details will be forthcoming.
We are SaddleBrooke’s only sanctioned Jewish group. As a strictly social club, we are not affiliated with any religious organization. We welcome all our neighbors to join us.
