There’s a new stop on the storytelling trail, and it begins the moment the afternoon train pulls into Elkthistle, Wyo., a town you won’t find on any map, but one with a very real welcome. “Goodtime Billy Peaches, Live from the Beardance River Ranch” is a new interview program that invites guests out to the ranch for a warm, unhurried visit and a chance to share the experiences that have shaped their lives.
Blending the homespun humor and insight of Will Rogers, the storytelling warmth of Garrison Keillor, and the easy charm of Arthur Godfrey, the show rests on a simple promise: no embarrassing questions, just genuine, good-natured conversation. Host Goodtime Billy Peaches, star of stage, screen, and the lecture circuit, guides each visit alongside the good folks of Elkthistle, drawing out the stories that make every guest worth knowing.
Each episode runs from 15 to 45 minutes, however, much a guest cares to share. Conversations are taped, never “gotcha,” and guests may ask that any moment be edited out before it airs.
“Everybody’s got a story worth hearing. Out here at the Beardance, we just pour the coffee, kick up our boots, and let folks share the moments that meant the most, there’s no gotcha, only good times.”—Goodtime Billy Peaches, host.
The program is released as a podcast and is offered to newspapers, radio stations, and media outlets for broadcast and feature coverage. Prospective guests, station programmers, and reporters are all warmly invited to get in touch.
