The University of Arizona’s (now Banner) Audiology Department will conduct free hearing tests at the Health Fair again this year. The testing will be located in the Activities Building near the SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse. Because this test was so popular last year, people can sign up at the fair for an appointment instead of waiting in a long line. The new location will provide a quiet environment to give accurate results.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 17, 9:00 a.m. to noon, for this year’s Health Fair. Once again, shuttles will be available from the MountainView Clubhouse.

Many of your favorite medical providers will be on hand. There will be immunizations for flu and pneumonia, including the new super Prevnar 13® pneumonia protection. Physicians are highly recommending this new shot even if you had a pneumonia shot previously. As always, check with your doctor regarding your personal guidelines. The shingles vaccine will be available as well as a wide range of diagnostic lab tests that are offered at a very reasonable rate.

Even though the Health Fair is a few months away, it is not too soon to volunteer. Email Sally Sample, our Volunteer Coordinator, at [email protected]. You will be contacted later this summer about details. If you volunteered in previous years, your name should already be on the list.
