In addition to the many celebrations and parties that the SaddleBrooke Francophiles schedule during their season of activities, one of the most traditional gatherings is the Diners a la Maison. Small groups of members meet at a host home during January, February and April to share conversation and enjoy cuisine that they bring to this intimate setting. This is an excellent method to meet in smaller numbers and many friendships are forged within this setting. Bob Kramer chairs this event.
On January 21, seven members met at the home of Bob and Twink Zimdar and enjoyed appetizers, followed by a delicious entrée of boeuf bourguigon, accompanied by a tossed green salad, French bread and a raspberry tart for dessert. Complimentary wines were poured for each segment of the dinner. Guests included Ralph and Carie Scalzo, Dick and Barbara Snyder, and Pat Smith. Fun was had by all! Vive la France!
