The SaddleBrooke Francophiles donned festive Mardi Gras hats, masks and costumes to celebrate La Chandeleur Crepe Party at the home of Larry and Chris Crum on Saturday, February 6. Dozens of mouthwatering crepes were filled with a wide variety of savory and sweet fillings—ooh, la la! The Francophiles look forward to this much anticipated event each year and this one did not disappoint. Members prepared delicious meat, chicken, seafood and vegetable fillings followed by delightful sweet fillings such as almond cherry, blueberries with whipped cream and tiramisu. Tummies were definitely satisfied and happy! Our Feast of Kings royalty, Kings Mike Penner and Rudi Faller and Queen Fran Lowry, were guests of honor.

Our next celebration will be Fete Des Printemps, which will have an April in Paris theme. Attendees are encouraged to dress as someone one would see on the Streets of Gay Paree in historical or present times. Prizes will be awarded to the Most Creative costumes. Music, great food and lots of fun are scheduled for this event.
