Join us for the Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries (FSL) lecture on Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. at DesertView Theatre. Life is a journey—this we know. Larry Lynam, a microbiologist by training and profession, made a journey from professional with a biopharmaceutical firm to Master Gardener. His first gardening experience was becoming a Master Gardener in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., through the University of Florida. Then he relocated to Tucson, Ariz., and began studying as a Master Gardener once again through the University of Arizona. Active in the Pima County Master Gardeners, the University of Arizona Campus Arboretum, and Tohono Chul, his experience has helped him to create a garden resilient and resistant to the changing desert climate.
Join us for this FSL lecture (free to members and $5 for non-members). We will hear Larry share his knowledge and ideas to help us create an efficient, attractive, and inviting landscape that brings year-round enjoyment. He will include the best practices developed and vetted by the University of Arizona agricultural and climate research.
