Desert Stars news

Mary Jo Bellner Swartzberg

It has been a great season for the Desert Stars and the season ended with several performances in April, including performances at Santa Catalina Villas, Sterling House and La Rose Health Center. These performances included such musical numbers as: Clarinet Polka, Orange Blossom, Way Down Yonder in New Orleans, No Business Like Show Business and Lord of the Dance.

Patsy, director of the Desert Stars, has also been referred to as “Miss Patsy.” Patsy owned her own dance studio in Waterville, Maine, for 28 years. She also taught tap dancing at Pima Community College.

Always a high energy person, Patsy holds practice for her Desert Stars students at 7:00 a.m. two mornings each week. While the classes are now on hiatus for the summer months, Patsy will be back in the dance studio in September to direct her students.

If you would like the Desert Stars to perform for your group please contact Patsy at 825-2737.
