Cyclemaster members the Monfores and Apfelbaums make an annual trip to Crater Lake.

Everyone in the world should visit this magnificent national treasure and park. The deepest Caldera in the United States, second deepest in North America and seventh in the world. Its deep dark blue body of water is six miles across. Crater Lake Lodge sits at the edge of the lake with grand views, a great dining room and lodging and the starting point for hikes and cycling around the rim of 34 miles. It is a challenging ride.

John and Linda Monfore and Steve and Carol Osgood Apfelbaum (Cyclemaster members) stand on the patio of the Crater Lake Lodge enjoying the views after their 2.5 hour, 25 mile cycle straight up the mountain to the lake and lodge.

Carol and Steve met John and Linda at a Cyclemaster ride/breakfast in SaddleBrooke and have become best of friends enjoying their common cycling interests and both couples are from Oregon. Now this is an annual trip from John and Linda’s beautiful home in Fort Klamath to Crater Lake.
