Several SaddleBrooke clubs will be hosting events for our young visitors on Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27; so if you are looking for some fun activities, check these out.
Saturday, December 26
Story Hour will be held for children ages 2-10 on Saturday, December 26 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Paloma Room at the Desert View Center. Reservations are not necessary. For more info contact Ginny at 818-2953.
Sunday, December 27
A tennis clinic will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27 at the HOA One Tennis Center, which is located at the corner of SaddleBrooke Blvd. and Ridgeview Blvd. The kids will be divided into two age groups, 12 and under and over 12 and put on different courts. The under 12 age group session will be one hour from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The over 12 age group session will be one and one half hours from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The over 12 group should bring their own rackets if they have them. A small number of demo rackets are available for those who do not have their own. Small-size rackets and special balls will be provided for the little kids, so they don’t need to bring anything. All kids should wear non-marking rubber-soled shoes. All who plan to attend should register via e-mail or phone Kay Sullivan; e-mail [email protected]; phone 818-6601.
Also on Sunday, a Pickleball event for kids age 3-21 will be hosted by the SaddleBrooke Pickleball Association from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the Preserve Pickleball courts. All participants, including parents, grandparents and the children must wear close-toed tennis shoes that will not leave black marks on the courts. Reservations are not necessary. For more information contact Shawne at 818-2690.
