The newly formed Chicagoland Windy City Club is planning a second get-together of full time and snowbird SaddleBrooke residents who once hailed from Chicago or its suburbs-—or perhaps still do.
The Friday, May 22 event will be a Cubs vs. Diamondbacks social featuring ample TV viewing opportunities of the 6:40 p.m. game being played in Phoenix. The pre-game happy hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the home of Ed and Maureen Van Dorn at 37085 S. Rock Crest Drive (Unit 16). Soft drinks, mixers, ice and paper goods will be provided. Guests should bring their own drinks and a heavy appetizer to share.
The Chicagoland group’s first event was a pizza party at MountainView in late February and more get-togethers are being planned for this summer and fall.
