Elk of the Year: Joyce Garcia received this coveted award for her contributions to the Lodge and the community as chairperson of the Dictionary Project and co-chair of the Clothe-a-Child Program. For several years, she has purchased and delivered dictionaries to five elementary school third-grade students, and organized the children’s Christmas shopping spree and party. She also received an “Outstanding Service Commendation” from the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Grand Lodge for these extraordinary contributions to the community.

Elk Officer of the Year: The Past Exalted Rulers Association awarded Gloria Cisneros this honor for her exceptional commitment to the Lodge as Exalted Ruler. She received the annual Victor Garcia Ritual Team Member Award for her first-place performance at the District Ritual Team Competition. Gloria also received the Past Exalted Rulers’ Association Award, which is given to a member that best exemplifies true dedication to the Lodge and to Elkdom.
