A Record-Setting Celebration of Art at SaddleBrooke

The SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild (SBFAG) would like to thank everyone who participated in and attended its annual Fine Art Show and Sale, held Feb. 20 through 21 at the MountainView Ballroom. The event brought together artists, collectors, and community members for two inspiring days celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and connection through the visual arts.

This year’s show featured an outstanding variety of original fine art, with works available for viewing and purchase throughout the two-day event. From painting and mixed media to metal prints and other fine-art forms, the exhibition reflected both the depth of talent within the Guild and the diverse artistic voices of its members.

“This was the best show we have ever had,” said SBFAG president Jenni Long. “The quality of the art was outstanding, and there was so much variety. We also had a number of new members in the show, which is always gratifying, as the show gives them an opportunity not only to exhibit their work, but to sell it as well.”

The Friday evening reception was especially lively, featuring live music by Sean Lewis, a seasoned performer who has played more than 600 solo shows over the course of his career. His music created a welcoming atmosphere as guests enjoyed the art, a no-host bar, and the camaraderie of the SaddleBrooke community. Lewis is also the creator of a 14-song, all-original independent album, Time Will Tell, released in 2023. Those who enjoyed his performance can learn more about his music at seanlewismusic.com.

The show also included hourly door prizes and a Fine Art Raffle, with artists generously donating original works valued at $250 or more. Many of the artworks featured were available exclusively during the show, making the event a special opportunity for collectors.

Also on hand was Frank Vidal, Development Manager at Tohono Chul. All of the donated artworks were raffled off to support Tohono Chul’s mission as a community oasis. The raffle raised a total of $1,000.

“What a joy it was to be part of the Fine Art Show and Sale! Connecting with the talented artists and so many of our park supporters made the show so much fun. A special thank you goes to SaddleBrooke resident and park docent Donna Stewart for helping with the raffle,” said Vidal. “The funds raised are supporting Tohono Chul during a period of massive transformation. Right now, we are actively working on our new Master Plan, enjoying our new mural by Ignacio Garcia and accessible path, and just breaking ground on our new Adaptive Arboretum Garden. Thank you all for your generous support, and we invite you to come out and experience these exciting changes for yourself.”

The SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild extends its sincere thanks to Terri J. Freeman who chaired this event for the club, as well as the artists, volunteers, musicians, and patrons who helped make this year’s Fine Art Show and sale such a memorable success.
