The SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association (SBWGA)-18 Member-Guest/Quail Classic 2025 was a resounding success, bringing together 66 members and their guests for an unforgettable experience. Participants traveled from across the country, representing states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. Additionally, we welcomed neighbors from SaddleBrooke One, MountainView/Preserve, the Ranch, Oro Valley, Marana, and various locations throughout the Tucson metro area.
This year, Morris Hall generously sponsored the event, and the festivities kicked off with a big party on Sunday night, featuring the lively tunes of DJ Chuck Moses, setting the stage for a weekend filled with camaraderie.
We enjoyed rounds of golf and delightful luncheons on both Monday and Tuesday, playing each of the three nine-hole courses. The event also featured a cash raffle, gift raffle, and a silent auction with the chance to bid on rounds of golf for four at 12 local golf courses, including prestigious venues such as Arizona National Golf Club, Desert Hills Golf Club, Green Valley, El Conquistador Golf Club, MountainView/Preserve, Omni Tucson National Golf Club, Oro Valley Country Club, Starr Pass Golf Club, SaddleBrooke Ranch, Sierra Vista Golf Center, The Highlands at Dove Mountain, Tubac Golf Resort and Spa, and The Gallery.
Enhancing the event was the perfect weather, which allowed everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the spirit of the game. The SBWGA-18 Member-Guest/Quail Classic 2025 was not just a golf tournament; it was a celebration of community, friendship, and the love of the sport. We look forward to more memorable events in the future!
Cathe Kropp and her committee did an amazing job, from planning through execution. Kudos to you all!
And for the record, after 27 years of playing golf at SaddleBrooke, Maggie Falconer won a Championship! She is the 2025 Presidents Cup winner! You go, girl!
