The Let’s Dance Club announces its lineup of dance lessons for the upcoming 2016/17 dancing year. Many of the popular amateur instructors will be offering an ambitious array of lessons for members of the club. These lessons include both beginning instruction and lessons which go beyond the basics. The lessons will include Bachata, American Rumba, Waltz, Samba, Latin Hustle, International Rumba and American Tango, Fox Trot and West Coast Swing.
In addition, the award winning professional dance instructor Alan Daughenbaugh and his partner Leslie Eisele will be teaching American Tango and Cha Cha early in 2017. These lessons will include beginning and intermediate levels.
Most lessons are taught Wednesday mornings, 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Vermilion Room of the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse. Current members of the Let’s Dance Club will be receiving an update with the exact schedule soon. Since the classes fill up quickly early sign-up is encouraged.
I failed to include Tom and Mary Borkovec in the last article thanking instructors who taught in early 2016. Tom and Mary were part of the team teaching the Cha Cha. Thanks, Tom and Mary.
In addition to the lessons, practice sessions are available on Saturday mornings, 10:00 a.m. to noon. There will be no lessons given in June, July or August but the Vermilion Room will be available for practice sessions on Wednesday and Saturday mornings during these three months. More information about the Let’s Dance Club and the schedule of classes and events is available at [email protected] or 825-5401.
The Let’s Dance Club and SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club have a combined membership fee of $10 per person per year. Membership gives you access to the activities of both clubs. Updated information is available on our Facebook page – Let’s Dance Club of SaddleBrooke.
