Staying on top of the social needs of a rapidly growing church is no easy task; however, Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke struck a responsive chord on August 18 when an old fashioned potluck was held at the SaddleBrooke Activity Center.
In keeping with church potluck tradition, everyone brought a dish to share. Since SaddleBrooke is filled with cooks who know their way around the kitchen, the food was wonderful and plentiful. The fellowship was great, too, as many people got to know each other better and some even met for the first time.
The event was loosely organized but a number of people came early to assist with set-up. Those were Charles and Sharon Dunn, Stan and Karen Hustad, Karen Martin, Scott and Sandi Newberry, Sue Searcy, Judy Stanard, and Pat and Barb Webb.
Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its all-denominational Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m. in the Vermilion Room of the HOA 1 Clubhouse. Starting October 4 there will be services at 8:30 and at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.
