Joyce and Richard Wantuck
Joyce and Richard Wantuck are the SaddleBrooke Tennis Club members who organized and conducted the premier event of the year, the Club Championships. Their imagination led to a reformatting of the event in which they underscored our members’ enjoyment of doubles tennis. Not just any ‘ol doubles tennis! Instead there were at least eight separate draws for every member’s level and age group. Joyce and Richard devoted hours of volunteer time to the task; all to the delight of more than 40 competitors and a patio full of spectators.
They integrated the competition with a charity event and a wonderful party on the STC patio where over one hundred players and friends ate and drank in the warm afternoon sun.
