Amy Urman is the owner of Nosy Wilma LLC, a private investigative agency licensed in the State of Arizona. She is a professional genealogist, licensed private investigator, researcher, and lecturer.

Amy trained as an investigator under the tutelage of another investigator. During her 20 years of working for a law firm, she became familiar with locating, searching, retrieving, and reviewing court, agency, computer, and business documents. She holds a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University and is a graduate of ProGen. She has received advanced training in law, land, genetic genealogy, advanced methods, fundamentals, and forensics.

She is the co-founder and past president of the Pima County Genealogy Society. She holds memberships in the Arizona Association of Licensed Private Investigators, the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Arizona Historical Society, and numerous state societies. Amy also serves on the Lineage Committee of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Tucson Chapter.
