For a Cooler Summer, Come to Logan, Utah

Judie Shyman and Ed Melnick

Last summer’s heat was at best oppressive. There is, however, a wonderful alternative: the Summer Citizen program at Logan, Utah. On Jan. 27 in the MountainView ballroom at 1:30 p.m., representatives of the Cache County Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to inform you of the various opportunities that this program offers.

The historic town of Logan is charming. It has a rich history, and the town takes a great deal of pride in how it has played a unique role in our history.

The Cache County Chamber of Commerce is now the guiding instrument in this program’s development, and they have instituted a program that other summer programs envy. Utah State University is the focal point of Logan, and its influence is evident in the lives of Loganites.

USU and Bridgerland Technical Community College offer a variety of stimulating courses. But there is so much more to do, such as plays and tours, hiking and biking, and pickleball and golf. There are fitness centers and noontime concerts and more clubs and activities than you could imagine.

If you think it sounds too good to be true, it is. So, come and ask questions. We think you will be impressed, and you may find a great way to spend the summer.
