The members of the Glass Art Club of SaddleBrooke have had a fun and productive fall making stained glass pieces; fused pieces including jewelry, mosaics, and holiday ornaments; and attending demonstrations on various creative techniques, and we are looking forward to a winter of more fun classes. The winter class schedule will be emailed to our club members in late December. If you are not yet a member, check out our website at www.glassartsb.com towards the end of the month to see the winter schedule and what types of classes will be offered.
The Glass Art Club is about all types of glass art. Classes are offered in traditional stained glass (foil), glass fusing, and mosaics, so you can explore creative options in several mediums. Of course, there is also open studio time when members can work on their projects outside of class or on any of their independent projects. Many of our members design and create unique pieces that, in turn, provide inspiration to all of us other aspiring glass art creators. If you’d like to express your creative ideas using glass, come see us or check out our website.
Our club will also have a booth at the SaddleBrooke Recreation and Activities Fair being held on Feb. 8, 2025, so watch for the event advertising from SaddleBrooke TWO for more particulars. Stop by and see samples of various types of glass art and to sign up on the interest list. An orientation for new members will be held a week or two after the Recreation and Activities Fair.
We are in the Turquoise Room at the MountainView Arts and Craft Center on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon, so stop by for a visit and see some examples of our members’ work. You can find more information about the club and see the class schedule at www.glassartsb.com, or email us at [email protected]. Watch the website for updates to our class offerings.
