Ed McLaughlin

Local author Ed Mclaughlin has three new books for Christmas! Ed writes under the pseudonym EJ MacPhee and illustrates them as EJ Scalise. Ed and his wife Kathy are 24-year residents of SaddleBrooke. He has been writing young children’s and young adult books for over 15 years. All can be purchased at the SaddleBrooke Gift Shop, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or eBay.

Get into the Christmas spirit with Mugglywump and the Elves, a beautifully illustrated children’s book by EJ MacPhee. This first edition paperback has 52 pages and is perfect for children aged 4-12. The book is signed by the author and features artwork by EJ Scalise. The story follows Mugglywump, a lovable gnome, as he embarks on a magical adventure to try to be one of Santa’s elves. This fairy tale is filled with fantasy, bedtime story elements, and a lesson in expectations, making it a great addition to any child’s book collection.

A special edition this year is Mugglywump Stories – Three Books in One. This collection of Mugglywump stories is perfect for children who love action, magic, and fantasy. This hardcover or softcover book features large print and has a total of 108 pages. The book is for children between the ages of 4-12. It includes all three Mugglywump books: The Curious Gnome, The Golden Egg, and The Elves.

EJ also has a series of young adult books. The newest one is an updated version of his first short story, Odie the Innkeeper. It takes place in EJ’s fantasy world of Armonia. It’s a great companion to another short story, Foundling. If your young adult readers read epic fantasy novels, his Armonia duology is also available at the Gift Shop.

All books purchased in the Gift Shop are signed by the author and can be personalized.

Happy Reading!
