SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network’s annual Pet Food Drive was a huge success!
On Oct. 18 the Network held its annual Pet Food Drive to benefit Pets in Need Action League (P.I.N.A.L.), which provides temporary pet food assistance to qualified residents of Pinal County who may be struggling to provide for their pets.
We wish to thank all who were so generous in their donations of either food or cash. Because of your donations, many hungry pets will be helped!

On the evening of Sept. 8 at 8:30 p.m., SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network (SBPRN) received a call from the SaddleBrooke One Patrol that a delivery driver had found a dog inside of a crate on Lago Del Oro, close to the entrance to SaddleBrooke. Volunteers quickly collected the small dog who did not have a collar, tags, or microchip. Due to his appearance and neglect, they quickly named him Rags. This little dog could not have been sweeter under the circumstances.
Initially, he was placed in a short-term foster home with an SBPRN volunteer, and then he was placed into a foster-to-adopt situation a few days later. I think you know where this is going. Rags needed bloodwork, extensive dental work, grooming, neutering, vaccinations, and a microchip before he was eligible for adoption. The vet estimated that his age was between 8 and 10 years. He was in good health and had a sweet disposition. Rags became a favorite of many of the volunteers, especially Zenda Saraydarian who made a beautiful bed for him.
Bunnie and John Gill were immediately smitten with his sweet personality and requested a foster upgrade. In other words, they wanted to give him a loving forever home. He was officially adopted by Bunnie and John on Oct. 24 and given the name Beau.

Monthly Pet Donation Drop-Off Program

Our various pet charities are always in need and are always thankful for your donations. Please consider dropping off any of the items listed below. Cash donations are also accepted and appreciated. The drop-off location is at the SaddleBrooke One bocce ball courts. It is the first Friday of every month.
We are now into our fall/winter hours of 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Caution! Please drive up slowly and watch for volunteers at the cones!
We always need pet food.
We accept most pet-related items that are in clean and good condition, such as towels and sheets, both flat and fitted.
Pet crates of any size are accepted. Please break them down before donating.
We cannot accept any Poly-fil items, such as pillows, as they present a choking hazard. Nor can we accept any rugs with rubber backing.
Any items accepted are at the discretion of the volunteers.
Please do not leave items unattended.
