The chapter met at the home of member Karen Thomas, January 14, 2015, with thirteen members and four guests present as hostess Karen presented the program on Primitives. The dining room table was covered with Primitives. Each item was numbered. They were all considered Tools from the l800s and Early 1900s. These were all collected when Karen received the start of the collection from her husband’s grandmother. She has continued to add to this collection.
Karen gave a pad and pencil to each member and guest. They were to write down the identification of the numbered item as she passed the tool. The person having the most identified correctly won a prize. It was fun participating as we learned from Karen. Out of approximately fifty tools only three members identified eleven of them to win the prizes. This was a challenge to all the members and great to participate while learning.
The Chapter is planning a Spring Luncheon to be held at MountainView with Time Walkers and Timble Peak Questers Chapters attending March 11, 2015.
Questers is an international organization of members interested in researching the history of collectibles and preserving the history of buildings and collectibles for the future.
