The SaddleBrooke Line Dancers heat up the Dance-A-Thon.
Dance-A-Thon Recipe for Success!
Ingredients:
* 60 Ballroom Dancers
* 36 Western Partners
* 24 Latin Dancers
* 30 Line Dancers
* 20 Argentine Tango Dancers
* Variety of musical spices
* Large dollop of Shake Yer Booty
Preheat the MountainView Ballroom to 68 degrees. Assemble above ingredients in small batches, spread over a prepared 25 x 75 foot ungreased surface, activate with music for 45 minutes and infuse with alcohol until lightly marinated. Allow each batch to ingest a fajita bar filled with grilled chicken, skirt steak, vegetables, rice, beans and salad. On a rotational basis, quick fire each group seasoned with appropriate music. Set aside but don’t allow them to cool. (Keep an eye out at this stage for extra splashes of alcohol). When all batches have come up to temp, begin layering the components. Start with a mound of Line Dancers in the center, then arrange Couples Dancers in concentric ovals around the perimeter. Take care not to spill over the edges. Heat the entire mélange with music and let the good times roll!
The Dance-a-Thon held on January 16 was a wildly successful entrée in the world of fusion dancing at SaddleBrooke. It was created and organized by dance masterminds Claudia Booth, president of the Let’s Dance Club and Steve Holdener, president of the SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club. We in the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club were thrilled to be a part of this amazingly fun evening and hope that it becomes an annual tradition. We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all organizers and participants of each dance group!
