About 100 people attended the June 8 grand re-opening of the SaddleBrooke Dog Park to let their four-footed friends enjoy the new grass.
Festivities began with the dedication of a new tree in memory of June Cullen who died recently. Various people spoke, giving their recollections of Mrs. Cullen, then they laid personally hand-painted rocks beneath the tree. Her beloved dog, Obi, was in attendance, brought by Pat Mersy who adopted Obi.
A big part of the day was spent with an agility course put up by Jeremy Brown, owner of the Complete Canine. He also gives lessons at the Dog Park.
