Did you know that falling could be related to your vision? Did you realize that aging eyes means a lot more visual changes than cataracts? So, what do you need to know about your vision as you age? Dr. Tanya Polec, one of the country’s leading specialists in Neuro-Optometrics and Neuro/Postural Rehabilitation, knows first-hand the importance of looking beyond 20/20. Dr. Polec will be speaking on this topic on Friday, May 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sonoran Room of the MountainView Clubhouse.
More than just being fitted with the right corrective lenses, Vision Rehabilitation therapy helped Dr. Polec overcome significant visual and comprehension problems that went undiagnosed until her teenage years.
Holding a BS from the University of Arizona in Molecular and Cellular Biology, a Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometrists (OD), Dr. Polec has also achieved the designation of Fellow with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD).
Dr. Polec’s knowledge coupled with her personal experience and compassion, has led her to become one of the country’s leading specialists in Neuro-Optometrics and Neuro/Postural Rehabilitation. She is central to developing national baseline testing and developing healing solutions in a number of areas including pediatric learning challenges, concussed patients, professional and amateur athletics and the armed forces. Her customized rehabilitation therapy and lenses provide optimal body and vision alignment for her patients.
Dr. Tanya Polec is the founder of VQ Vision, a private clinic in Tucson, Arizona. She is also a frequent lecturer at hospitals, educational institutions and collegiate/professional athletic functions.
Dr. Polec will be speaking at the May meeting of the Wellness Integrated Network or WIN. WIN is a new group in SaddleBrooke that is dedicated to providing top professionals to speak on wellness and integrative medical options. We have a different speaker or program each month.
