Last year, 36 students in four different classes received instruction in either basic or advanced guitar or ukulele. New for this year is the Music Appreciation class. This is essentially a college Music 101 type course, a history and appreciation of Western Tonal (classical) music from Gregorian Chant to the present. All materials will be provided and students will be required to do nothing other than listen. If you already love classical, this class will enrich your ability to appreciate. If you don’t yet like or know this type of music, it will give you the background to enjoy it.
All classes will be 50 minutes each, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The schedule will be determined by the enrollment. If you have any questions or need help getting either a guitar or ukulele, call me, Ted Crowley, at 925-676-8558.
