Episcopal Church of the Apostles will host a handful of services, open to everyone, in celebration of the Christmas season.
Beginning with the recognition that Christmas is not always a joyous season, Church of the Apostles will once again host a Quiet Christmas on Thursday, December 20 at 6:00 p.m.
This annual service is specially designed for anyone who finds themselves sad, grieving, finding the holidays to be a challenging time to feel merry and joyful or who want some quiet in the midst of a very hectic season. It is a contemplative service, designed to offer comfort for people who do not feel this is “the most wonderful time of the year.”
Church of the Apostles will host two Christmas Eve services on Monday, December 24. The first will begin at 5:00 p.m. and includes a children’s Christmas Pageant. This is a full choral service designed for families and welcomes joy-filled children of all ages who want to experience the excitement of Jesus’ birth.
The second service, at 9:00 p.m. on December 24, will be a traditional candlelight service with choral music.
On Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, at 9:30 a.m., Church of the Apostles will celebrate the fulfillment of light, life and love in the birth of Jesus.
All services are free and open to everyone. They will take place at Church of the Apostles, which is located at 12111 N. La Cholla Blvd. in Oro Valley. Should you have any questions, please call 520-544-9660, Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. or email [email protected].
