Want to send the SaddleBrooke Progress a picture from your phone or tablet? Here’s how

Alejandra Wilcox, Editorial Assistant

We love receiving your articles – and nothing makes an article stand out like a great photo. As you may already know, photos should be submitted via email as .jpg attachments at the largest size possible. Our minimum size requirements are four inches wide by three inches tall at 300 dpi (dots per inch), but larger is always better!

We are frequently asked about the best way to send photos from a cell phone or tablet. You can email a photo directly to us at [email protected]. Simply follow these easy steps:

1) Select the photo you want to send and choose from your menu options to share via email. Depending on the type of device you have, this option is usually accessible by holding down on the photo, or by opening it in the photo gallery and selecting the “share” symbol. You can also start a new message in your email app and select “attach file.” You should then be able to choose your photo.

2) After you have attached the photo to your email, be sure to include SaddleBrooke Progress in the subject line – we publish eight papers and receive hundreds of submissions monthly. We would hate to see your photo end up in the wrong paper! You can also include a caption or article in the body of your email. If you have already submitted an article, please let us know the title or topic of that article so that we can match it up with your photo.

3) After your submission is ready, hit “send” on your email. You should then receive a prompt from your device to select a photo size for sending. Always choose “original” or “actual” size. If you did not take the photo, please ask the person who did to send it to you using these same guidelines.

Our graphics team has also created a handy visual guide for Apple users!

Remember, all editorial submissions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the 26th of the month. If you have questions about your photo or article, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Alejandra. She can be reached at 480-895-4216 or at [email protected].
