After a hiatus of several years, the Men’s Nine Hole Leagues from MountainView and SaddleBrooke One have again joined together for tournaments at each league’s course. There was a mixed scramble of players from both HOAs on each team who played on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the MountainView course and on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Tucson course. More than 50 golfers participated each day, and a celebration with food and beer at the RoadRunner Grill followed the Wednesday event. All agreed that it was a good time and good company!
On Tuesday the winning team was Dick Ashwood, Tim Morsani, William Faulkner, and Tom Cluley with a net score of 24.3. Runners-up were Gary Colella, Jay Hansen, Thomas Carr, and Dave Lancaster at 27.7.
On Wednesday the winning team was Calvin Saulbury, Dick Ashwood, Randy Miles, and Jon Fulton with a net score of 24.4. Runners-up were Paul Belanger, Bill Bach, Chris Apitz, and John Hart at 25.1.
