The SaddleBrooke Quilting Club, also known as the Friday Quilters, will hold its bi-annual show on Sunday, March 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the MountainView Clubhouse Ballroom. Besides viewing over 100 quilts, attendees can choose from a large selection of handmade items which will be available for purchase in our boutique. There will also be a chance to purchase tickets for two raffle quilts. Proceeds benefit the club’s service projects.
In addition to a wide variety of general quilts, this year’s show will feature quilts from challenges the club has held over the last two years: 1. Mystery – Where the quilter doesn’t know what the final quilt design will look like until it is almost done
2. Shoebox – Where five to seven quilters made blocks of various sizes out of each other’s fabrics by passing around a shoebox of their material and then the owner had to figure out how to put those blocks together into a cohesive quilt
3. Black/White/One Color – Where quilters could make a project of their choice out of black and white fabric plus only one additional color
4. Library – Where quilters made a project from their choice of books in the club’s quilting library
Please come to see these gorgeous quilts and vote for your favorite.
