Once again, the ladies of WOOO (Women On Our Own) have added another activity to the many opportunities available for women on our own in SaddleBrooke. Always looking for ways to stay active, be healthy, and enjoy the company of other single women, beginning new ventures is always encouraged among our membership.
Our latest shout-out to our membership was to ask who might be interested in pickleball participation. There was an immediate trickle of interest, which has grown as the weather has cooled. Shawne Cryderman, who presents the Intro to Pickleball course at the pickleball courts, was more than happy to lead the interested ladies of WOOO in the beginning pieces of what pickleball is all about—importantly, “Never run backwards” and “Stay out of the kitchen.” So much more was learned (thank you, Shawn!), and an enthusiastic group of ladies has come together to learn, play, and, most importantly, have fun!
So, if you are a single woman in SaddleBrooke who is not in a committed relationship, or if you are a caregiver to a partner at home or in a facility, please consider joining WOOO. With more than 150 women and activities to keep you as busy as you wish by exploring SaddleBrooke, making new acquaintances, and wandering our beautiful Desert Southwest, it’s just a phone call away. Our dues are $10 annually.
