Resurrection at SaddleBrooke welcomes the newest member of the pastoral team, Pastor Tim Nybroten. Tim joins Senior Pastor Al Jensen and pastors Randy Winsand, Wayne Viereck, Jim Vadis and Roger Pierce.
A Wisconsin native, Pastor Tim grew up in Glarus, a small community outside of Madison. As he says, his blood is green and gold since he’s an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers.
After graduation from college, Tim spent two years as a Social Worker before returning to Luther Seminary for his Master of Divinity degree. He served at three different congregations in Wisconsin before accepting the call to become Evangelism Pastor at Resurrection. Tim’s responsibilities include family ministry, hospitality and programs for youth.
He enjoys working with both the Oro Valley and SaddleBrooke campuses and finds special joy in leading worship, preaching, strengthening small groups. When asked about the SaddleBrooke church, Pastor Tim commented on the sense of belonging to a faithful community the congregation feels. “People are happy to worship here.” He appreciates how the folks at SaddleBrooke focus their resources on helping those in need and on how they warmly welcome everyone who attends worship.
Passions of Pastor Tim are evangelism and helping people connect their faith to their everyday lives. His gifts include preaching, teaching and the ministry of welcome and hospitality. He enjoys golfing, hiking, travel and spending time with his family. He will enjoy Arizona’s winters and not having to shovel snow.
Tim is married to Chandra, a nurse in the GI Lab at Oro Valley Hospital. Their son Joshua is a senior at Ironwood Ridge High School where he recently was asked to join the golf team. Daughter Hanna is a sophomore at University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire where she is majoring in Speech and Language Pathology and Spanish.
Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds traditional all-denominational worship services at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. Temporarily, the services are held in the HOA1 Activity Center. When the new floor in the Vermilion Room is ready for occupancy, Resurrection will resume Sunday services in the HOA1 Clubhouse.
