Classroom Remodeling Status – When Will Classes Start?
As part of the HOA 2 Arts and Crafts Center remodeling, the Computer Club classroom is undergoing some changes—lots of changes. The process is underway, but much remains to be done.
Assuming the projected completion date is more or less accurate, allowing time to re-install all the classroom computers and accompanying infrastructure, plus building in a safety margin for the unexpected, we have scheduled the first class in the upgraded classroom for October 3, 2016. The full list of classes scheduled so far for October through the first half of December can be found on our website calendar at www.saddlebrookecc.org/calendar.html.
However—this classroom remodeling is no minor project. Projected completion dates are not always met. So while we’ve scheduled the classes on the calendar, we are not opening them up for enrollment until we see we actually have a classroom in which to hold the classes. Frustrating? Yes—for you and for us. But better to hold off enrollment than to let you register, only to have to cancel the class later. We’ll send out an email announcement to the club membership when classes are open for enrollment.
Online Classes Are Still Available – 24/7/365
One thing not affected by all this remodeling is our online classes. They can be found on our website (www.saddlebrookecc.org) by going to Enrollment>eLearn on the top menu.
This will take you to an area where you will find replays of some of our most popular User Group meetings and selected eclasses. You will need your Computer Club login credentials to access this restricted area of the website.
Note: As a public service to the SaddleBrooke community, the Computer Security class is open to everybody, whether you are a computer club member or not. Just go to the eLearn section of our website as described above and click on the Computer Security icon on the sign-in page; no sign-in required.
