Where can I get my kicks, daddy-o? The SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club can tell you – at the Hop! On September 8, 25 hip chicks made the scene at the SaddleBrooke Vermilion Room. There were poodle skirts, rolled up jeans and saddle shoes burning up the floor. We danced to the solid gold hits of the 50s, spun by Terri Gage who actually lived then! We took a break to hang out at the popcorn machine and sip cokes while Lynne Kumza, wearing a perfect flip, conducted a Hot Lips contest. Now before you get the wrong idea, the contest entailed matching up lipstick prints with their owners. Most of us failed miserably except for Kathy Ames, who apparently knows how to read lips! Kathy’s prize—a pair of poodle socks!
So, split from Dullsville and come get your kicks at the SaddleBrooke Line Dance Club. Drop in to our instructional Level 1 Workshop which is held on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Vermilion Ballroom. You will be most welcome and will meet others who are new.
