What the Heck Is Cornhole?

When you were a kid, did you ever throw bean bags into a board with a hole? That’s cornhole, and it’s coming to the SaddleBrooke DesertView Complex this fall! The new SaddleBrooke Cornhole Club (SBCC) has been recently formed and plans to have its Grand Opening in early November, with play possible by late September/October.

The new courts are currently being resurfaced and restriped. They are located behind the DesertView Theatre where the old multi-purpose courts existed. The cornhole concrete boards have been ordered and will exhibit the SBCC logo. The club purposely chose concrete boards to minimize noise.

This social club is designed for all levels of ability with the purpose of having fun. Other activities will include competitions, tournaments, and unit parties. As we continue to grow, more activities will be added and guided by the members. Our current membership stands at about 125 enthusiastic players, many working diligently on committees toward this goal.

If you want to get in on the fun, contact Patti Paiz at [email protected] for the membership of $25 a year. Keep an eye out for our new website, which should be online in the next few weeks!
