Announcing the Golden Goose Thrift Shop Leap Year Valentine Limerick Contest!
It’s true! Now you can have even more fun with the Goose! Just write a limerick about how much you love shopping at the Goose or your favorite Goose experience and drop it in the provided box in the shop. The contest runs the entire month of February, and you can enter as many times as you wish. There will be two grand prizes of $100 Golden Goose gift cards, one for a winning customer and one for a winning volunteer. Some limericks will be published on our website. All will be judged by Herschel.
And who might Herschel be?
At the Goose there’s a young man named Herschel,
Who works on their every commercial,
Each word that he’ll use,
Will never confuse,
And will never be deemed controversial.
So, here’s your big chance to show the Goose how you feel when you find that cool piece of art, that great living room chair, those nice guys who loaded your car, or anything else that makes the Goose special to you. And remember,
A gift card can spend just like money,
And a free one is sweet just like honey,
Use your head not caboose,
Show some love to the Goose,
Make it sweet, make it real, make it funny.
Of course, no contest is without rules, and there are just a few: Limericks must be submitted on paper (no emails, please) and left at the shop. You must provide your name and contact information because if you don’t, you can’t win. You give the Golden Goose Thrift Shop permission to publish your name and limerick(s), but all copyrights belong to the authors. Entries become the property of the Goose, and none may be returned. Contest closes Feb. 29, 2024.
