SaddleBrooke Pickleball Association (SPA) is delighted with its new weather station! This gift helps players know what the current weather conditions are at the Robson Pickleball Center when they sign on to the club’s website. Weather in SaddleBrooke can be different depending on your location. Different elevations and the mountains in the near vicinity can affect wind direction and precipitation intensity. It is nice to know what the weather is like and how much rain has actually fallen before heading to the courts.
Joe Pate, owner/operator of XPert Automotive, graciously gave SPA the funds to purchase the weather station in January. Joe states, “We like to support our community and help when we can. If this weather station improves play ability at the pickleball courts and makes life easier for our neighbors, then I say, ‘Let’s do it.’” Shelly Smith, XPert Automotive office manager, was instrumental in making the transition take place.
Since 2013, XPert Automotive has been located at 16400 North Oracle and is the only independently owned automotive business in Catalina, Ariz. Joe Pate is an ASE Master Technician. His nine employees are also very qualified, as three are certified automotive technicians, two are qualified automotive technicians, three are service advisors, and one is a general service employee in charge of oil changes and tire rotations. Between all of them, they have over 100 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
XPert Automotive accepts tow-ins, but an appointment for car/truck service is recommended. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Joe Pate believes family time is important, so the shop is not open on the weekends. On average, 20 or more vehicles receive service on any given workday. Honesty, reliability, and high-quality service are the foundation blocks that Joe Pate has built his business on. He uses original equipment from the manufacturer or the best standard parts available. The entire operation is proud to stand by their motto, “Try us today. Trust us tomorrow.”
