Unit Twenty Three Canasta Club saw red at its weekly meeting on December 22 at the HOA One Activity Center. Players received fifty points to add to their total score for each item of red they wore. Stakes were high. As usual the most money anyone could win was $5. Still, several players went all out with red hats, shirts, jewelry, scarves, socks, and—ahem—underwear. There was some grumbling about not being able to count each red polished finger nail, but players were mostly good natured about seeing red.
