U of A appoints resident to Cancer Center Advisory Board

The University of Arizona Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute. The center provides clinical services to cancer patients, does laboratory and clinical research, and educates heath care professionals and the public. The mission of the University of Arizona Cancer Center is to prevent and cure cancer.

The purpose of the University of Arizona Cancer Center Advisory Board is to provide support and leadership to the Director of the UACB and its development and communications teams in their efforts to expand and enhance partnerships. The board’s ultimate goal is to increase community awareness, legislative support, and philanthropy.

Becky is a two-time cancer survivor, and Tucson-based, nationally known speaker and author traveling the U.S. providing presentations that relate to her personal journey about retirement and long-term financial planning. Becky is the author of the critically acclaimed books Hiding in My Pajamas and A Classic in Clown Shoes. Her role on the Cancer Center Advisory Board will focus on community outreach and philanthropy.
