‘Twas the night before ballroom dancing

In the MountainView Ballroom, beautifully decorated for our Autumn theme by our talented team, 48 people enjoyed the SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club Party. The party began with an hour of socializing with other dancers. Then we enjoyed delicious meals prepared by Executive Chef Alan Lambert and his team. Most dancers had either blackened steelhead trout or chicken Piccata. Yummy! The highlight of the evening, of course, was ballroom dancing: lots of it. The music was provided by our guest DJ Steve Holdener; he and his wife Rita returned to SaddleBrooke for this fun dancing event. We are grateful for very much in our lives; this November evening of dinner and dancing reminded us of that.

Our next Dance Club Party will be after Christmas, so enjoy the holiday season then come to our winter-themed Dinner Dance Party on Friday, December 28, also at the MountainView Ballroom. That’s right: it’s on a Friday this month, not the usual Saturday party night. Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m., dinner is at 6:00 p.m. and dancing starts at 7:00 p.m. The menu has not been decided yet but it’s sure to be good. Our DJs will be Sheila Honey and Brian Hand. They will provide a nice variety of ballroom dancing music for us. Tickets for this event are only $30 for club members. Do you have guests in town? Wonderful, bring them also; tickets are $40 for guests. Last date to register is December 19; contact Don Grafmiller at [email protected] to sign up.

Our biggest dance of the year is our annual Ballroom Dance Gala. It will be held on Saturday, February 2. This is a formal dance party so it’s a wonderful opportunity to look your most elegant in your evening gown, cocktail dress, tuxedo or other dressy attire and dance the night away. Our guest DJ Steve Holdener will provide the music for this event. Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m., dinner is at 6:00 p.m. and dancing starts at 7:00 p.m. Reserve the date on your calendar and plan to join us for this fun, dressy event.

For those of you who plan ahead, save the dates now for our monthly Ballroom Dance Dinner Parties on Saturday, March 9 and Saturday, April 6.

Membership in the SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club is only $15 per year, so join us. For more information about membership, dance parties, lessons and more, go to our club website at www.sbballroomdance.com.
