To Play or Not to Play: That Is the Question

Susan Sterling

Community Circle Players (CCP) members are still basking in the afterglow of one of their finest productions, Witness for the Prosecution. The audience response to the spring play was overwhelmingly positive. As is often the case, many CCP veterans and SaddleBrooke residents ask, “What’s next?” Good question!

The Executive Committee is currently testing the waters for a November 2025 production of short plays. Scripts and ideas are floating around town. Directors are proposing plans for sets, costumes, actors, and more. Co-founders Susan Sterling and Shawne Cryderman are committed to overseeing the production while allowing each director full rein with their individual plays. The auditions are scheduled in September, with rehearsals running from September through November. That said, because of the nature of short plays versus a full-length three-act play, the rehearsal schedules and time commitments are somewhat flexible. It provides a perfect opportunity for people whose “lifelong dream” is to be involved in live local theatre.

So, the question is, do you want to play? If you have interest in directing, acting, or helping backstage with props, sets, or whatever, please contact Susan at swsaz79@gmail.com or Shawne at sfcrydo@yahoo.com.
